Andrew’s House is a Washington based nonprofit organization addressing the needs of homeless youth, aged 18-24, who are aging out of foster care and don’t qualify or opt out of extended care. Andrew’s House focuses on serving Eastside youth at the critical time between childhood and adulthood.
OUR HISTORY
Andrews House Washington (AHW) – Became a 501c3 on 10/11/2016 and is empowering homeless youth (aged 18-24) to achieve independent and productive adult lives though placement in loving Host Homes. Founders, Gary and Jan King, witnessed a rapid rise in the number of homeless youth on the Eastside, and wanted to do something to help. They researched various housing models used across the country, learned about Host Homes, and selected this alternative model because it places youth in stable and healthy living environment, with lower associated costs. EventsYou are invited to Andy’s Dance Party which is sponsored by Andrew’s House Washington (AHW). AHW is a non-profit organization that serves homeless young adults ages 18-24. The dance party is a chance to have fun and support one area of homelessness. Our goal is to empower them to achieve independent and productive adult lives through placement in safe, loving Host Homes. One young adult to one Home.
The cost of a ticket to the dance is $100. I have embedded a link to our Registration/Donation site which will allow you to purchase a ticket to the dance and/or make a donation to AHW. The dance is on Saturday, February 24th at Sammamish High School from 7:30pm to 11:00pm. Jeannette Baker will be the DJ and will teach us a few dance steps. Music will be inter-generational. We will have door prize tickets that you can purchase for drawings during the event. Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. Homemade desserts and water (no alcohol allowed on school property) will be provided. Wear your favorite dance or business casual outfit and plan to have fun with old friends and possibly make some new ones. Andrew’s House has no paid employees so all the funds raised during Andy's Dance Party will go to supporting our Case Management roll.
